GST Admission System

The GST Admission System is a very good way to join public universities in Bangladesh. GST means General, Science, and Technology.

This system groups 19 universities. They offer bachelor’s programs in these subjects. The best part is that you do not need to apply to every university one by one.

You only take one main test. It is an MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) test. The test is split into three units:

  • Unit A: For Science students
  • Unit B: For Humanities students
  • Unit C: For Business Studies students

This system was made to lower the stress on students. It also saves their time and money.

After the test, you get a merit score. This score is based on your test result, HSC GPA, and SSC GPA. Then, you can apply to your favorite universities and subjects. You do this through one central website.

You must get at least 30 marks to pass the test. Only students who pass can apply for final admission. Some special subjects, like Fine Arts or Architecture, may have an extra practical test.

Everything is online at www.gstadmission.ac.bd. This makes the process simple and clear. Thousands of seats are available, so your hard work can pay off!

You can pick subjects based on your unit. For example:

Subject Allotment Result

The university gives you a subject. This happens in several steps or “rounds” after you apply.

The first round is based on your merit and your choice list. If you are not happy with your subject, you can try to “migrate” (change) in the next rounds. This is only possible if seats are open in other subjects.

You can check your result on the website. You must accept your subject before the deadline. If you miss it, you will lose your spot.

Final Admission

Did you get a subject? Now you must complete your final admission at that university.

You need to pay the admission fees. You must submit your original documents. This includes your original marksheets and testimonials. You will get an enrollment number.
